FAQ

  • AG. Metals works exclusively with well-known mints with long-term relationships. These include Heimerle + Meule GmbH from Germany, LaMet from Italy, and Holyland Mint from Israel

At A. G. Metals, we only source our products from reputable suppliers, importing directly from mints. Additionally, we conduct our own XRF (X-ray fluorescence) assays to confirm the purity of the metals

The stamp 456PD indicates the manufacturing number (456) and the city where it is produced (PD for Padova, Italy)

These numbers represent the purity of the bullion:

  • 999 means 99.9%
  • 9995 means 99.95%
  • 9999 means 99.99%

Both bars are made of pure precious metals, but the manufacturing process differs:

  • Casted Bars: Produced one by one from pure metal grains. They have a rougher appearance and unique shapes.
  • Stamped Bars: Made from metal sheets or rolls, then stamped and cut with a press, resulting in a more uniform and polished appearance

As a rule of thumb, smaller ingots tend to have higher labor costs, meaning their intrinsic value relative to their size is lower. However, they are often more tradable, particularly in private markets

Although we do not have an official buy-back policy, in 99% of cases, we will repurchase bullion at market fixing prices

  • Coins and Rounds: Often considered collectible items, these typically have a higher premium price over the spot price due to their numismatic value.
  • Ingot Bars: Generally focused on bullion investment, with less emphasis on collectibility but often lower premiums.
